Press Release | 10th September 2014
With a strong experience on monitoring the live streams of their digital TV offer, Liberty Global was looking for a complementary system for their on-demand and interactive services. They are now using Witbe’s technology to monitor availability, performance and conformance of all interactive services delivered to end-users through their STB, e.g. VoD, pay per view, games on demand, EPG…
The solution proposed by Witbe includes Video Monitoring Robots for multiple Set-top boxes in parallel and a Witbe Experience Center for central management. It is designed to generate real-time alarms for Operations teams to pro-actively detect issues on the delivery networks and platforms, and to report KPIs for optimizing success rate of the end-user transactions.
“Liberty Global needed a powerful monitoring solution that could focus on their interactive services, and pro-actively alarm on a QoE issue. We helped them automating all the manual checks that used to be done daily and in multiple regions” said Marie-Veronique Lacaze, CEO and Co-Founder of Witbe. “Having operations in 12 European countries, one of Liberty Global’s strong requirements was to have a solution that could be operated completely remotely from one central monitoring center, and we demonstrated the full remote management features of our solution”.
Since 2000, Witbe offers an award winning approach to ensure the Quality of Experience actually being delivered to the end-users of any interactive service (telephony, video, Web, etc), on any device (PC, smartphone, set-top box, etc), and over any type of network (fixed, mobile, OTT, etc). Leading innovations in the QoE industry, Witbe boasts over 200 clients worldwide. National telecoms operators, cable operators, broadcasters, video content providers, set-top boxes manufacturers and iOS/Android apps developers, all rely on Witbe’s measurements. Witbe has offices in Paris, New York, Montreal, and Singapore.
